What Can Go Wrong (And How to Handle It)

Charles Bridge is crowded

Go at sunrise (5-6 AM in summer). By 7 AM, tourists start arriving. Alternatively, late night (after 11 PM) is also quiet.

It's raining or cloudy

Propose inside Lobkowicz Palace in Prague Castle (stunning views through windows) or in a candlelit wine cellar.

Petrin Tower has a long queue

Move to the rose garden nearby - it is equally romantic and offers privacy. The photographer can still capture great shots.

She gets tired climbing to the castle

Take the tram (22) up to the castle. Save her energy for the actual proposal moment.

Photographer is too obvious

'That person has a professional camera - let's ask them to take our photo!' Classic misdirection that works every time.
